aaahhh...thats better!

I had to change out the door panels on my "Spirit of '76" this morning...the white ones were/are in VERY bad shape. I plan on keeping them, but swapped them out for blue ones in MUCH better shape...

Re: aaahhh...thats better!

I'd see if they can be "restored" or somethin. Those would keep the value so much higher...

I plan on keeping them, fixable? I doubt, but still cool. I will find a pristine set one of these days and paint them white. But these are BAD!

Re: aaahhh...thats better!

I'm pretty sure you can still buy white door panels just switch the 76 badges

Re: aaahhh...thats better!

I would keep them too. That was the bad thing about the light colored GM plastic in the 70's. It seems to almost chrystalize. I have a 70 442 that has the pearl interior and a 79 Olds Starfire that had a light blue interior that did the same thing.

If you’re up to it a product by the name SEM Weld can hide a multitude of sins. Very tuff stuff & paintable

Use it all the time to repair/build up window sills on public transit vehicles that are constantly being carved up by the knives of our “ More transit dependant folk” otherwise known as S<>Heads

Product name & number :FLEXIBLE SEM-WELD II # 39708
