does anybody have an attorney they could recommend

I was hit by a drunk driver, who then tried to flee. I was able to chase him down and then called the cops. He was arrested and charged with dwi. Ive had several people tell me to get a lawyer but no one can actually recommend one from personal experience. Wondering if any of you guys can personally recommend one. Im in the Dallas area by the way. Thanks.

Why do they think you need an attorney if he hit you?
Does he not have insurance?
Do you guys have un-insured motorist in Texas?
I would let my insurance handle all the repairs and go after the offending party.
If you were injured that's a whole different thing though.

You paid for coverage, that includes your ins co doing the work. They usually have protocalls with other iIns co so that they shoud be able to expedite things, but at the first hint of trouble call a Lawyer.Just find the one the Ins companies hate the worst.

If you have full coverage your insurance company will handle your claim and settle with you and then sue him themselves. My mom just went through that with an uninsured motorist.
