Rebuilding the front suspension on my 69C10 and now that I am putting it back togather I cant remember the order of assembly for the upper A-arms, I think it was the a-arm, spacer, shims and then the nut, but I cant remember and forgot to take a picture of it, could someone snap a quick pick for me?

Re: upper A-arm shim placement
what is the purpose in the shims right there? my passenger side front tire sticks out further than my driver and i was wondering if i could just take these shims out to give myself a little more clearance. thoughts?

Re: upper A-arm shim placement
They set the alignment for the wheels. Just pulling some out w/o verifying the alignment settings can cause improper tire wear. Specifically, the shims impact caster (relationship of the upper & lower BJ's compared vertically) & camber (top of the tire leaning in or out).
