Anybody use Procar buckets?
I got an email this morning from Eckler's with a sale on interior parts, and while I was browsing I saw they have Procar bucket seats and a specific adapter bracket for our trucks. They look pretty cool, and the one version has the classic muscle car look to the shape and upholstery. Just curious if anybody has them and what the quality/comfort/fit is like.
I have a rehabbed stock bench now, which I have put way too much money into, but it still just isn't comfortable.

Re: Anybody use Procar buckets?
Lattimer, I posted this earlier in the year. FYI, did a 1300 mile trip with the seats on the Hot Rod Power Tour, didn't have a problem and could not get my 64 year old cousin to leave the passenger seat and ride in another vehicle, he stated this was the best ride for the tour out of five vehicles.

Thanks, good info. I remember seeing that thread now. How bad was it to modify the bracket? My head brushes the ceiling on bumps now.

Re: Anybody use Procar buckets?
Does this count?
![]() I was expecting that since they were bucket seats, it would have separate brackets for each seat, so I was a little surprised when one big bracket showed up with the seats. Had I known that from the beginning I would have just made my own brackets instead of paying nearly $150 for a bracket that I ended up hacking apart.

Re: Anybody use Procar buckets?
Thanks!!! Those photos helped a lot. I definitely can't use a console like that, my shifter would hit it.

Re: Anybody use Procar buckets?
I personally bought some procar seats for my Chevelle and ended up sending them back. From what I remember the stitching was low quality and the sliders were not the best. I think I pad over 700 for them. I ended up getting some oem seats for a 10 Camaro and made some brackets. Not only are they much nicer leather and stitching they are power and heated. Not to say procar aren't good seats I just think if you do get them go with the non covered ones and have an upholstery shop do the covers. I did however pay about the same for the Camaro seats and trust me they are nice to ride in.

Re: Anybody use Procar buckets?
I bit the bullet and ordered the seats. I got the frame too, modifying it looks easier than building my own.
I looked at Amazon (with free Prime shipping) but Jegs was actually $20 cheaper even with their oversize freight charge. Also ordered a carpet cover for the gas tank. Now I have to figure out a center console. The factory repro style won't work for me, my shifter is too far back.

Re: Anybody use Procar buckets?
I was in the same boat, I'm also running a TREMEC TKO trans.

Re: Anybody use Procar buckets?
My engine is in the L-6 position too, so my shifter just clears the bench. The ball is actually over the bench in 2nd and 4th.
I have a small console that straps onto the bench, so I'm thinking of converting it to mount to the frame.
