Re: Cruisin the coast 2014

I can tell you this. I got one that's a cherry on the inside. Sit in storage since 71. But the solenoid was bad and obsolete. I am having to rewind it myself and its deffinately a learning experience. It's going to drop my 65 mph at 3000 rpms to 2100 rpms. I have it all apart waiting on new bearing to rebuild even though it does not need it.

I actually drove to Cuba al to get it last weekend. Right outside meridian lol

Re: Cruisin the coast 2014

I'll be there Tues thru Fri night. May come back on Saturday. I'll be staying at the Best Western in Biloxi across from the Beau. I think it would be fun to put a meet-n-greet together somewhere and maybe grab a breakfast or lunch. I'll have my 67 there and will be with a guy that has a 72 Chevelle SS and another friend that has a 72 Cutlass convertible. Post up on this thread if you're attending and interested! Looking forward to it!

Re: Cruisin the coast 2014

Good place for lunch is the Fillin' Station in Biloxi on Howard Avenue or Pirate's Cove in Pass Christian. Fillin' Station has burgers, Po Boys, etc. and Pirate's Cove is a great sandwich shop.

Cool! Anybody else who wants to join us, just come on! It's an old service station that's been converted to a burger joint. Very cool atmosphere!

Re: Cruisin the coast 2014

I got Chubby up & running. Im working on getting the interior squared away & get a hood on it. I'm trying to get my wife to get onboard to drive it down there. If so, I'll be towing Walt or Booger depending on which one is running/ driving.
