Delay off headlights now available!
Okay, I've been testing out a few different front lighting harnesses for the last couple of weeks and I have assembled a finished product where you can now have a complete harness for your headlights and parking lights that come preset with a 20-second off setting but has 3 additional settings that allow up to a 900-second delay off.
I basically wanted to design a lighting harness to mimic the delay off feature that my 05 Yukon has. Full harnesses may not interest everyone but I can supply splice harnesses for this upgrade in addition to full replacement harnesses. PM me with make/model and mods for details. Everybody may want/need something setup a little different so this isn't a one size fits all kit so instead of junking up the various categories with a million "for sale" threads, I figured this would be the easiest route to take-mods feel free to move the thread if you deem it necessary. Thanks! |

Re: Delay off headlights now available!
Right now, I'm pricing the stock replacement harness w/delay off @ $179. If you want the relay upgrade for the headlights integrated AND delay off price is $209. This is a complete harness from the firewall bulkhead forward-and includes a 10ga supply lead to a relay bank which utilizes the headlight relays and delay module. A common point to pull power from unless otherwise advised is the central firewall junction. I also incorporate a weatherproof sealed 40A fuse for the harness as well.
Includes flame resistant OEM style Delphi loom and new rosebud clips. |

Re: Delay off headlights now available!
Some people have PM'd about how the setup looks-heres a pic of a front lighting harness w/relay upgrade and delay off mounted on the drivers side fender down low. This is my 86 K10 build and I've build all new harnesses front to rear including tail light harness and a dual tank harness.
This should give you some mounting ideas anyway. Relays are rated @ 40A and the delay module is rated @ 10A but I incorporate it as a switching relay to "hold" the other relay contacts closed for 20 seconds after power is shut off. If anybody is interested in a complete lighting harness or just the delay module/relay upgrade, I have them all in stock. |

Re: Delay off headlights now available!
Describe function for me. I assume you leave the headlights on. Turning them off overrides the timer. What about startup behavior? Daytime?

Re: Delay off headlights now available!
The act of turning on the headlights "activates" the timer and when you turn off your headlights, the timer keeps the low beam headlight relay contacts closed for the predetermined set time. I set mine @ 20 seconds. I'm working on adding auto-on feature with it.

Re: Delay off headlights now available!
I'm interested if you are still building the harness and are they still $209?
