Turning a c10 into a dually?
I have a 1972 GMC truck and am wanting to make it a dually. Is this possible? If so all the help I can get would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance...

Re: Turning a c10 into a dually?
Possible? Sure. But your frame is a 1/2 ton frame, and people usually want dual rear wheels to increase hauling capacity. You'd be better off starting out with a 3/4 or even 1 ton.

To do what you have proposed if it was me I would find a cab and chassis and graft the back portion onto your frame. Whatever length you want. Just my opinion. Don't flame on me or hate me cause my opinion is different than yours.

Re: Turning a c10 into a dually?
The 1/2 ton frame is gonna be your limiting factor than in it is so much lighter and that the front stuff isn't gonna bolt up as easily as you will hope. I have a one ton sitting out next to a half and the frame is not only thicker but it is way taller too[distance between the channels is greater]. Jim
