What's a good way to plug up a firewall hole?
Now that I've decided to put a newer model windshield washer pump under the hood, there isn't much need for that 3-hole grommet in the firewall. Is there a solid grommet I can shove in there? What else can I do that doesn't involve welding, rivets, or bondo? (And duct tape, let's not forget that solution!)

Old sock or rag? Many trucks I've bought have had that method implemented
![]() Measure the diameter and maybe there is a rubber plug made in that size

Don't be to fast in plugging that hole yet!
Depending on what pump and where you mount it you need to run wires and tubing through the fire wall. Later time you may need more stuff ran through the fire wall. Those little holes want hurt you much if left open for a while and see! ![]()

It sucks not being able to hear! LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB! After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs. |

pull the hoses out and a little black rtv silicone in the three little holes will make a solid plug that can be reversed if you decide to go stock again down the road
