WHAT??? isnt that 305 already too much power for the truck? i feel your pain. atleast one of us will be going faster. your plans sounds good! i bet you cant wait to get some real power going.

the shortblock i was gonna get, i wouldnt be able to for another month.

thats a good reason. is that balanced and everyhting? or is that just a cheapo stock rebuild? i did mine by myself, and my parts alone cost $600, machine work was another $250 or so. $600 sounds a little cheap to me. remember what Mike says, you get what you pay for.

my dads known the guy and done business with him for quite a few years.

he has an 8second camero

and its not from him, but from people HE knows. and my dads getting me phone numbers tommorow so i can call and see whats up.

eric, you just owned yourself right there. He ment switch from the single pattern, different ramp rate 274H to the dual pattern, faster ramp rate XE274, which is also hydrolic, so Ill be nice for him and give the STFU right back

Thats basically what Im running except I have aluminum pro topline heads. I went with the 274xe the xtreme energy line is suposed to be the latest technology. What intake and carb are you going to use?
