1970 C30 dually bed options
Hi everyeone, I'm looking into buying a 1970 C30 dually. Currently it doesn't have a bed of any kind (just the frame), and I'm thinking of what bed to put on it, and if the options differ from other trucks of the era.
Not sure how dumb this sounds, but I kind of want to get a C10 stepside bed for it (no fenders, obviously). Would it fit on the frame, and use the same mounting setup as on a C10? Other options are an M101 trailer turned into a bed, or just bolting a lockable toolbox across the frame and calling it quits. Last edited by BigCh13f; 05-01-2017 at 02:05 AM. Reason: i spell dumb |

Well, there is the obvious multitude of flat beds, and if you have the 133" wheelbase model the Longhorn fleetside bed is pretty much a bolt on deal, you just have to add two bed mount brackets up front by the cab. The 9 foot stepside bed would bolt on by adding the same front brackets if you could find one, and you could just remove the fenders for the look you want. Look through this thread and see if you find anything you like. I hope you have some free time on your hands..... ![]() http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=291544 LockDoc
