1960-61 grille guard question
Did some water well work a little ways from home and there are a couple hundred old junked vehicles and when I say junked, there's a lot of 30s and 40s cars that have been cut up and stripped down but there's also some old chevys sitting out there anywhere from 40s-90s. Not much left but there's a couple that caught my eye. One is a 61 shortbed with the ear end missing but had a cattle guard laying in back and brackets or rods bolted to the frame. Then there is a 3/4 all complete with the same grille guard still bolted on. See picture below. Now my question is, is it the factory set up of a guard? I only have the one picture but he's willing to sell the stuff out there pretty cheap. But I just want to make sure it's a factory deal since I haven't seen many.

Re: 1960-61 grille guard question
Both of those are original grill guards. I don't know if they were factory installed or dealer installed. I have one on my '66 K10 but it is a little bent up on the passenger side.

Re: 1960-61 grille guard question
Factory accessory grill guards. Probably dealer installed, but could have been ordered from the factory.
