Engine cleaner recommendation
What do you all use to clean your engine bay? It looks like on my 68 that it has never been cleaned, so there's a lot of grease and dirt on it. Any recommendation?
Thanks, Joe |

Re: Engine cleaner recommendation
A lot of the DIY wash bays have a degrease setting. Bring a can of Gunk Degreaser or similar. Sometimes their degrease setting doesn't last very long. Follow with a hot wash setting. Have needed tools for drying out the distributor just in case. Using the DIY bay leaves the worst of the crap in their catch system instead of your driveway.
Follow up with further cleaning at home. Depending on thickness of gunk, wire brushing or even old screwdriver as scraper may be needed. |
