Found the gas smell
Was getting a faint gas smell on my 85 at first but it progressively got worse. So I started the diagnostic found no leaks while running at any of the fittings or lines . Checked the carb to see it it was dumping gas into the motor nothing at idle ,Nice mist after the accelerator pump . Was about to check the charcoal canister but the smell was stronger on the passenger side had the misses rev the motor and low and behold a vapor trail coming from the fuel pump around the pin for the actuator . Guess the diafram has a pinhole and the mist was evaporating ,so new Delphi is coming in Tuesday.
So I'll be changing the oil to .

Replaced it today . Was a nice sunny 44 ° the Delphi unit is nice but it's made in China. No more smell

Last new delco pump I got. did 9psi created all kinds of havoc

I checked it was 6 or so psi so alls good . I always check them now after the one on my chevelle flooded the car at idle .
