What all to part on a truck.

What all should I strip off of a truck that I can keep or sale but still have a way to have it hauled off(rolling chasis). I hope this makes sense.
I know body and such. I might try and pull the dash if i can figure out how. Not cut up.

Hard to say bones, I may look at something and say it's worthless, while there are 4 or 5 people on here that are looking for just that part. Has happenned before. That said, just scan the parts board and see what's selling and what isn't. If there are 5 guys on here trying to sell 3 speed columns (hypothetically) and no one is buying them, you might not want to waste your time on pulling that. Hard to say overall though. Just make sure you have plenty of storage room to keep these parts in just in case they don't sell quick and you have to keep them around awhile. Hope I have confused you enough, ....Thanks, ...Jerry.
Did you ever get that wheel on? Love to see a pic. Later.......

another option?

I thought I'd have to do the same thing...keep the chasis rolling when I parted out a 1970 over the last six months. Yet I did not have to.

Instead, I used my sawzall and just chopped away the parts that were not sell-able, either tossing them, or taking them to the local steel salvage yard. Since the frame was bent on the truck, I didn't feel guilty about it.

You'd be surprised what parts people do actually want/need and will sell. Also, cutting it up was fun at times to, just got out some frustrations tearing it down! I had many 3-4' pieces remaining that I simply loaded in my daily driver and hauled away.

Just a thought!

Bamm 24 ~ Not yet. I have so many little projects going on that I just don't seem to get anything done. I need to number them in order of importance and go from there. That may be number one however as it would give me more room while trying to maneuver myself hanging off the seat and under the dash(to grandmothers house we go) to reinstall my guages. I can already see I am heading someday to a frame off resto. If I make one thing look purdy it only magnifies the ugliness of another. LOL
Well, If I were dreaming. I would keep the frame and fix it while I was driving the truck and then switch the body over to it. It would be a learning experience anyway.

68 long bed. No tranny or motor just body parts. None that great eithe. It has a hood which is decent, front grill, rad support(I am hoping is good)Taking it off tomorrow. Bed seams to be a bit rough. One side is usuable. Nice dash. not cut up. I am going to try and get that out. Just new to this.
