new window and door rubber fit?

Does anyone have some first hand experience they can share on replacing window and door rubber. Getting a truck ready to paint soon and plan to replace all seals, etc. Looking for fit and durablity feedback as well as brand and supplier.

I have heard of aftermarket made is US stuff, Tiawan stuff, GM original, Softseal brand, etc. What works and what doesn't? Any recommendations?

I don't know what brand I have but I can tell you that rebuilding vent windows is a PITA. There is a reason that those rebuilt ones are so expensive. The rest of it is not too bad, and I can't see that one brand would make a big difference in door seals, window felts etc. Removing the vent window should be done before the window felts and wipers are installed.

Iv'e used softseal, probably one of the better ones available. You might also check out this post , I might give these a try next time. As ^ vent rubber is a PITA. While you have everything apart might just put new nylon rollers on your regulators also, thet are usually pretty shot after 30+ years.
