Stripped screws!
I have some all along the door panel on one side. I bught a easy out to use but that didn't work either. I was thinking of drilling them out but don't want to screw that up by making the hole to big. Anyone have any ideas? I hope these are rare cause I sure don't want anymore.

i think if you cant get them out with easy out then id just drill them out, i wouldnt worry about making the holes too big, someone should know what size bit to use..maybe 3/16 or so

Are you talking about it four screws on the bottom of the door panel. If the heads are striped out what I did was drill off the head removed the door panel and grabbed the remaining screw with a pair of vice grips and screwed them out. It worked for me someone else might have a better ideal.

You could try a left hand drill bit...(don't laught they are real) machinists use them alot for that type of problem..

Heat them up with a torch (propane if possible) a bit then try with a screw driver, usually works

I have done a few like Orange70chevy said, and always came out OK. Make sure to use anti-seize compound when they go back in (or on the replacement screws) to help prevent this from happening again.

I will try some of those ideas. I still don't understand how the can be "welded" to the door panel. Feels like it because they sure don't want to budge. I had some that were rusted on the glovebox as well but got lucky with those. I can't even get the screws out of the side of the door. The screws are in the door where the original mirror would go. I can't get the screwdriver to turn at all. I'm such a wuss! They were right in school after all.

Take off the door panel, roll up the window, and shoot some penetrating oul (I like Kroil, but Liquid Wrench is good too) on the back side of the screws. Get an 3/8" drive impact driver (the kind you hit with a hammer) and a 3/8" drive phillips head socket (#2 tip). Keep dousing the back of the screws with the penetrating oil, get a good tight grip on the on the impact driver and apply some tension in the CCW direction (righty-tighty, lefty-loosey), and start whacking it with a hammer. You may break them loose, you may strip out the heads, or you may break the heads off. If you are fortunate enough to break them loose, spray them again with the penetrant from the outside and inside again, and work them back and forth to work the penetrant into the screw from both sides. Usually, if you get them broke loose, you can work them out by working them in both directions until they become loose. Don't hit it hard enough to bend up the door, just enough to crack the screw a little bit.
