XRR1 code and Eastwood vinyl paint???

Hello,
Does anybody know what XRR1 interrior code means for a 1977 K-20 Silverado? It has red interior, I am getting ready to order some cans of vinyl paint from Eastwood and would like to get as close to the origanial color as possible. Napa Red, Portola Red, Fire Red, etc.
Also, has anybody used the Eastwood SEM vinyl and plastic paint? Does it hold up? Is there something better out there? How many cans would it take to do the door panels, dash, seat belts, and headliner trim?
Thanks,
Dana

When you say red interior, is it really red, or maroon? I will have to look up the official name for it, but does your look like my 77 Cheyenne below?

I just had all my interior pieces re-dyed and they look great. I think they matched it to a Nissan color. Keep in mind GM didn't match everying exact. The dash pad, door panels and seat might look similiar, but not "exactly" the same....

Where are the pics of your interior? I have similar question, what type of red I have. I think it's portola, but I don't know. The code sticker was not on my truck when I got it. 1977 Silverado. It's definitely not maroon. But, I don't know the difference between firethorn, or portola...

Hey N2TRUX,
It the same as yours. I bought a set of sunvisors from a 86, turns out they are maroon and mine is red. The sunvisors and arm rests are slightly lighter red then the door panels and dash. The seat and side pockets are slightly darker then the dash and door panels. The carpet on the doors and the floor are red. Definently not maroon.

Thanks,
Dana

I've used the SEM dye that Eastwood sells. It works great with no problems what so ever. I recommend using some of the Vinylcoat Plastic Prep for the hard plastic pieces. Biggest thing with any of this stuff is to make sure it's absolutely clean and oil free. I've had my interior stuff dyed for a long time using the SEM product. Looks like new still. Follow directions to the letter and you will love it.

Oh, forgot on the amount you might need. I would get 3 cans of the dye and 1 or 2 of the Plastic Prep. You might get by with less, but you might do like I did and have to order more. Then you have to pay shipping twice.

Hey swervin ervin,
Thank you very much for the info.!
I just wanted to make sure it would hold up to the sun and the heat here in Atlanta.
I'm going to place an order in the morning, they have free shipping til 4-30 on $25 or more.
What color did you use?
Thanks again,
Dana
