Thanks 9footfan, The wood bed was redone in ash and finished as original in black. My wife and I used Benjamin Moore exterior penetrating alkyd primer (2 coats) and Benjamin Moore Ironclad alkyd enamel black (low luster) (2 coats). Light sanding after each primer coat. As we used a brush to apply finish, consider thinning with "Penetrol" made by Flood. The paint will flow better and will produce a glass like finish with few brush marks. The skid strips were powdercoated gloss black and secured with stainless steel fasteners.

I just noticed that you added a price to your original post.

$12,000!!!! That's a steal for an original restoration. If I didn't have two sitting at my house right now.....

Thanks Larry, It costs alot of money and takes alot of time to restore a vehicle (correctly). Thanks for recognizing that fact. It s not a cheap hobby. My wife and I have an easy $20,000.00 in this one and we no longer keep receipts for the simple reason,,,We don t want to know the total!!! Thanks again
