Swapable Grills?
Hey all,
I have a 71 chevy blazer 4X4 and was wondering if anyone could tell me if the front grill and or grill guard from a (and i'm guessing here) 71 GMC truck or Jimmy (THE ONE THAT HAS THE 2 HEADLIGHTS ON EACH SIDE) would fit on my blazer? If so how would i go about doing it? I just like that grill style better then the blazer. |

You would need the whole front clip including rad support.GMC fenders are not the same as 69-72 chevy.Hood is not the same.

Actually, the hood is the same if the GMC parts are 69 - 72. If these years parts are used (they have the chrome surrounding refered to as the top bar, and eyebrows) then all you need is the fenders and core support.
If you prefer the sloped hood, then the hood would need replaced, and the added chrome could not be used. To wire up the extra headlights, relays can bu sued, which would be a good time to upgrade the low beams to relay operated too...more light, less load on the 32 year old harness...a win win upgrade. |
