Need help on cargo light
My 69 does not currently have an outside cargo light but I want to install one before I paint it. I could use all the help I can get......pic, measurements, and answers to the following.
1. Does it mount just behind the inside cab light? And if so do that mean I just cut a hole about the same size, not to over cut? 2. At the light, the harness has one wire that plugs into the light and two others very near that end of the harness. These two have plug in connectors. Are these gound wires or what? |

Any pics of hole cut for cargo light, switch location, etc would really be appreciated. ALso, are cargo lights prone to leak?

Here a couple of pictures for you. I can fax you a dimensioned sketch if you will pm a fax number to me. We have not had any leakage problems with cargo lights.
I don't like the factory switch setup for the cargo light as the wiring uses part of the dome light circuit so you have to have the dome light on to get the cargo light on. I have installed them with the factory wiring, but what I like best is a separate circuit using a hidden toggle switch under the dash. (Just a suggestion!). Jim |

I never had any leaking problems out of mine either, but I only had it on the road for a few years before it was smashed.
