1968 stepside US ARMY TRUCK
I bought a 1968 chevy stepside short bed us army truck has anyone seen one and does any one have pictures of other ones i would like to see them. it used to have a 6 cylinder three on tree its a plain jane truck but its got a 350 and 350 trans in pack with all stuff to change it over i paide 300 bucks for it every thing is orginal the guy i bought it from dad bought it in like 1974 or so from fort lenordwood missouri it been here sense then it is orginal green in color, one funny thing about is were the option sticker in the glove box is, there isnt one and never looked to have. any information would greatly be appreciated

It should have the option sticker even if its a Army truck. Perhaps it was used for some top secret cold war CIA mission and it's been given an entirely new identity.
Have you looked for the build sheet under the seat or in the gas tank area?

The military had a bunch of different types of "TMP Motorpool" vehicles. They were, for the most part, just civilian spec. vehicles that were just painted green.......cool find though.
Most of those didn't have a ton of miles on them as they were mostly used just around the bases as "Duty" vehicles. But there were the ones used by the grounds keepers, plumbers, electricians and such.

The seat has been removed and placed in back of truck but gas tank is still in it untouched so im hoping that the build sheet will be there i really dont think itwill be there, never have had good luck with finding them this will make my third 67-72 and havent found one yet. the truck is really cool because it still has us army on the sides and other army markings i will try to get a picture of it soon hoping to go pick it up in a few days.
