'68 k10 motor swapping?
I'm having some trouble finding info on motor swaps. I have one of two things I can do with my truck
I have a 68 chevy k10 4x4 with a 283 and 4 speed I would like to put in a 350 i have but it doesn't have the stud for the clutch linkage I could also put in a 292 out of a 67 I have since it is a manual. I don't know what I need for these could someone help |

It should have a threaded boss in the side of the block on the driver's side for the piviot ball to thread into... BTW welcome to the board from southern oregon..

Some later models don't have the tapped hole for the clutch pivot ball. But, they all have a blank where the hole should be. I've tapped two or three myself. Just drill the hole and cut threads in there with a tap. Measure your old block and don't drill any deeper than the hole on the old engine was.
