friends sister is getting licence in 3 months, i let her drive my car and she liked it. i might sell it for about $1700. good price considering i only paid $500 for it.
i need to find another daily drive for around $2000-$3000 and no, i would love to do the following, but i need a car more. 8-71 supercharger!!! or nice fuel injection or air bags! i need a car with decent gas milage that doesnt look awful and with out a ton of miles on it. |

look into a 93+ 6 cylinder Firebird or Camaro. my buddy has one with a 3.4 in it, gets 20+mpg and still has looks very close to their fire breathing older sisters, the Trans Am and Z28.

I DEFINATELY recommend a 93-95 Saturn SC2. TRUST ME, you WILL NOT be disppointed with this little car. You can pick one up for around ~$2500. They're very quick in bone stock fashion (Read: faster than Civic EX's that have VTEC). Also very easy to mod. Gas mileage is 25/35.
How can you NOT like those bodylines. Just needs a Factory 91/2 Header ($50 at the junkyard), CAI (~$150), and a good catback (~$150) and you've got a mid 15 second gas mileage getting hotrod. Last edited by TIMSPEED; 06-16-2004 at 12:50 AM. |

LMAO. How can I not like the bodylines? Easy! It says, "Affordable and cheap". 15-second and hot rod in the same sentence? BTW, F-bodies used GM's bulletproof 3.8L V6 from 1993-2002. Ocbaud---I'de look into buying an early-to-mid 90's Caprice. I'm not sure which years were offered w/ the LT1 though. Either way, these cars have potential. Install cop car anti-sway bars, add 20's, tint the windows, install a stereo system, and you would have a sweet daily driver. Something different and reliable that gets 25+ MPG on the highway.

I think the LT1 was only offered from 1994 to 1996. Eventhough they have potential i wouldn't buy one for a daily driver. Way too clumsy and as they're just past the 10 year mark things start falling apart that have not needed attention before. Things that usually cost a lot of money.

My brother has a Buick LaSabre, and he is getting an average 35 mpg + with all city driving. Its got the V6 / 700r4 combo. Good luxury car with lots of go, run that thing straight piped and it is nearly as loud as my GMC straight piped

but seriously, its a great car...3800 V6 Series I, 4T60E tranny, 2.73 gears. Accelerated pretty decent, and ya gotta love the full-tilt 60/40 front bench. It eliminates the trip to the back seat It's like driving a couch.

Nothing better to do than try to blow up a car!?, I sure hope they watched it the whole time. I know I would. Was it at idle or did they stick something heavy on the gas pedal. I love it when guys do that, I don't know why but I laugh so hard my stomach and cheeks hurt. It is just so funny.

Get a motorcycle. You can pick up a used one cheap, then save the extra money you save for the truck.

Not sure if this is as big of a problem in the states but where I live being a young male, insurance is what gets you! Ive probably got one of the cheaper vehicles on insurance. But I still spend tons of money on insurance and Ive got a clean record. My best friend got in 1 accident and now he pays 5000 in insurance a year! Whenever I look into getting an econobox I would have to do ALOT of driving to have it pay off. Just another thing to think about when you make your vehicle selection.

well, i was notified today that a postition is gonna be opening up with the school district i was interning at. the chances of me getting the job if i apply are very good, since i already know how the system and things go around there. plus me learning os much more about mac osx(would be 1 or 2 people to know extensivly about it in the job)
if i were to get that, i think i would be able to afford the car i really want 98+ grand prix gtp |

I just bought an 89 S-10 Blazer with the 4.3 in it to replace my truck. It gets around 20 mpg and still has enough power to move quick if needed. Its got lots of room and they have a large amount of aftermarket parts available.

If you look for a gtp, the 99 and up ones are better, for a number of reason, one of them being the heads crack somewhat easlily on the older ones. We just got a 99, and other than being sort of hard to see out of, its pretty nice.
