Thanks

Send me a message when you decide. I would be interested in it.

Pad it and wrap in cardboard. FedEx, UPS, or Greyhound all will handle it for you.

If it was mine I wouldn't sell it for less than $150 Alex.
Wrap it well with used or new carpet pad, then wrap tightly with heavy cardboard, tape the crap out of it. Then cross your fingers and hope it doesn't get damaged in transit.

I bought my last original tailgate for $300 off of a '71 shortbed. It had screw holes in it where someone had lined the bed, but other than that it's ready strip and paint. If you had a flawless tailgate (with good desirable original paint) I'd say it would be worth close to $600. Scratches and flaws that might demand a new paint job would bring it down to $400. Holes and some minor dents then you're talking $300. Finally, if it's dented and looks like body filler is the only way to make it look good you're down past $200.

Good post guys......I gave several of them to my Son. He's got some really nice ones. He plans on stripping the paint off ( down to bare metal so people can see there is no bondo) and selling them on ebay. I hope he gets a good price on them.
