Carb Question

Did a cruise through town last night for car show and the truck kept loading up at idle. It's a new carb, what needs to be adjusted.

Without any more info about your experience, my first guess would be float set too high, or stuck needle and seat. Just a guess though. Good luck and keep on truckin'........Jerry

Details:
Wife was driving and I was vehicle behind.
Only doing about 5 miles an hour in parade.
I noticed it was starting to blow black smoke.(burning rich)
She had to come to a stop and idle a little bit in drive.
It killed
To start had to hold foot feet to floor. (It was flooded)
Thats all the details other than 350 engine with quadrajet 4 barrel carb

Is it new, just a thought but is your choke maybe sticking or is it a manual choke? Doug
