fan/shroud/water pump????
My 71 has a long water pump set-up, alt on right and PS not mounted to motor mount. I found a fan shroud from a blazer w/ V8 and short pump, when I put the shroud on my truck the fan(from my 70 w/ spacer) was off center in the shroud and actually hit the shroud when running. I had to half-ass the shroud mounting. And now for the question is the fan's positions different from long to short water pumps that it would make that big of a difference?
