TH350 problems

About a month ago i put a pretty healthy 327 into my 85 swb with 2.73 gears. After about 50 miles of driving the 2nd gear sprag busted. I pulled the tranny and took it to the local shop and had it rebuilt. I had a hardened sprag put into it at that time. I put it back in and after 250 miles it busted the sprag again. Anybody else ever had this problem? What would be causing it? Thanks, Derek

tranny

The first transmission was nearly 10 years old and it worked great with the 305 but 50 miles with the 327 killed it. It is just that good GM feeling.

The "gods" already had a talk with me lol. Thats why I now have a th400 vs the weeeeaaak th350 I had. Those are some of the parts the repeatedly broke on a daily basis. I wasn't easy on it but I didn't neutral drop it or anything like that. I had nothing but trouble out of it, it was in the shop more that I got to drive it. Rebuilt and band-aided 10 times at least in 5 months and I only drove it about a week out of the 5 months.

Not that this post helps you fix it any, but this has been my experience with them.
