Pics of my 67 longstep - cab is painted
I bet alot of you doubted I actually had a truck LOL!
Well my 67 GMC longstep is still a project in process, but the cab, doors and hood are painted so here are a couple pics. Also I have a pic of a door because I'm trying to determine what mirror is supposed to mount on it. I bought it as a project in process from the previous owner and alas there are no mirrors. The holes are in a triangular arrangement 8 inches apart from each other. ![]() Anybody know what mirrors will match this 8 inch on center bolt pattern? ![]() ![]() The bed should be painted and back on next week, then the reassembly process begins. Still need to order chrome bumpers, get a instrument cluster bezel, etc. I found the following brackets in a box while looking for the mirrors I thought I had. Can anyone provide some insight on them? ![]() This red one looks like a runningboard bracket bor the bed, but there are already two of those mounted at the front of the bed. Is this just an extra? ![]() Also I don't know what this black bracket is, sure is harder putting something together you didn't took apart.

I am glad to see that you do own a truck!
The red bracket is a step support. The black brace looks similiar to a grill brace, but I can't see any holes. It may not belong to a truck. Jim |

Yeh I figured out that the red bracket is a step support, but my bed already has two mounted at the frount of the bed. It only requires two correct?
The grill isn't in yet so I'll take a second look at the black bracket... Boxes full of stuff, should be fun....But hey I got what I feel was a good deal on the truck and figuring out how it all goes together is sort of like apuzzle right? LOL! I'll get more pics taken after the bed is back on.

It is fun to go through stuff!
I don't recognize the mirror hole patterns on the doors. We usually weld up all the mirror holes since there are multiple patterns on some of the doors that we have. Your truck is looking good! Jim |

Yeah the sad part is I asked the body guy to weld em up, and he doesn't remember that. If he wasn't a friend it might be easier to deal with!
If I can't find a set of mirrors that will bolt up I may have to have him weld them shut and repaint the doors. The strange thing is the previous owner had painted the truck leaving these holes unfilled, that led me to believe there were mirros that fit the bolt pattern. hmmmm

check out the mirrors pictured in this thread; I believe the smaller stainless steel set will fit the bolt pattern and not the really large stainless steel set

The black bracket goes behind the grill, actually from the right side of the hood latch to the back of the grill and down the center, should have two bolts to the grill two to the hood latch and one to the grill support. I think.

If it looks like s short frame it's an optical illusion!
As soon as the bed is painted I'll get pics of it, I had pics from the previous owner but they "disappeared"...
