brain fart..brake line ?
if i remember correctly front brake lines for a disc set up are 3/16" going to buy brake lines tomorrow and wanted to be sure

Yep! Should be 3/16" for the front and 1/4" for the rear.

no wont be going this year..trying to get the stepside done(well drivable) for the hot rod supernationals in canfield ohio its may 31 june 1&2.havent been on here much been in the garage....takin alot of time to try to do a frame up in less than 3 months

Wish I read this a coupla hours ago. When in doubt, slip an open-end wrench over the line. That'll confirm the diameter.
Due to a line blowout while stopping, I _just_ came inside from doing the rear 10'8" line (from the crossmember to the rear). After replacement I bled the system and built up the pressure. The old front piece of the same line went (that I didn't replace) right then and there! I thought about doing it all at the time while I was under there removing the bad piece yesterday... guess I should've. I'll be picking up the rest of that line tomorrow, and enough 3/16 to do the front while I'm at it :^) ------------------ 1971 GMC 1500; 307 Invader

thats the way it always goes..i changed from drum to disc and i knew drums had the bigger line and knew i had to go smaller but couldnt remember for sure..thats whats great about this board..i was going to put all new on mine but the rear lines still looked new..i love having a southern truck!!!!!
