FYI - Little help on Searching

Here's another way to search and it doesn't effect the server. It's not near as good as being able to use the server search but hope it'll help a lil till Josh gets the server going good and strong again. although, one problem is that it only looks at the title. By the way, for those of you that search the web allot the ctrl f thing works on any site.

Select archive at the bottom of the page
Select the forum that is most likely to have what you're looking for
Click CTRL F - a little window should pop up and allow you to enter what you're wanting to search for.

Cheers,
Jim

So that's why intermitanly the system is locking up today. While its not bogging down on you because your the one doing it the rest of us are getting system busy flag.

The problem is the way the system sorts the data base is flawed. ANY search has to potential to cause that no matter how you get into it.

LOL - uh no, that type of search only searches what is on the page displayed - meaning that when you click on archives and it shows you a list of previous posts it will high light words that you requested. Has nothing to do with the slowing the server down - because it's not accessing the server for the information. Items that are in Archive have already assumed storage space, if you'll take notice that even when the server reflects that it's busy you can still view items that are archived. That's because the server is processing information already stored and not new requests data storage.
