Weatherstripping will help, but it really depends on what the road noise is-- where it's coming from and how it's being transmitted to the cab. If the road noise is from your tires (running mudders on the freeway, for example), it's being transmitted through the suspension to the frame and from there to the cab. Weatherstripping wouldn't help that a whole lot. But if what you're dealing with is mostly wind noise, weatherstripping could help quite a bit.

I installed new weatherstriping,it cut out some wind noise but no road noise.I used some of that silver backed padding under the carpet that helped some. They make some peel and stick stuff,I think it might be called Dynamat that is really supposed to help.

probably won't help the road noise much, but will keep the doors from rattling...LOL

I just put new weather stripping on both my 72 longhorn and 70 cst, I believe it was a late 70's or early 80's style stripping. It goes on perfect, no glueing it just fits around the channel. It's a tight fit, alot better than original.
