Headliners
I want to put in a headliner in my truck and I want it in a black velour. My questions are
1.) Where might I go looking for a custom headliner like this? 2.) What needs to be done to put one in my truck seeing how mine never came with one? Could one be held in place with vel-cro or glued in? Thanks

I've been considering doing the same only with a black vinyl diamond pattern. I was thinking of locating an original headliner w/trim from a junk truck and either applying the vinyl to an old headliner or making a new one from 1/8" hardboard.
The only problem...I still to this day haven't found a truck with a headlliner in any yards near me. What's the dealio? And I've been looking for a few years now.

I bought a used headliner from manes in Kansas City then bought new trim. I used two sided tape and used very "small" screws to hold it up. I repainted the headliner.

I bought a new headliner, removed the original vinyl and covered it in leather with the original pattern sewn into it. It has 1/8" closed cell foam between the cardboard and leather. It's pretty heavy. I glued it in place with Liquid Nails. That stuff is incredibly strong. Fully cover the back of the headliner with liquid nails, set it in place ( easier with a helper). Run some 1" x 4"s lengthwise and prop them up with some 1" x 2"s so it's pushed against the roof really tight. Let it sit like that overnight. It will never come off.
