What is the firing order of a straight 6?
250 or 292, thanks

Thanks...and only in a F%rd. The 292 is the second best engine ever installed in these trucks, the first being the GMC 305/351 V6. Put one in a 4x4 and you'll never go back to a small block

you're probably thinking of the 292 V8 ford made in the late 50s or so.
EDIT: oh, and I am thinking of taking my 350 out and putting a 292 in its place! I know where I can get one for free (even comes with whole truck! 1970 C/30, fatal case of rusted everything). I guess I am

The way it is told to me is 15 is to young. 36 is a little old. 24 is just right.

GM hasn't changed the L6 firing order since they first made them. The way to remember it is 15's too young, 36 is too old, 24's just right.
For good info on the build of a fast 250/292 get Leo Santucci's book Chevrolet Inline Six Cylinder Power Manual. You can get it from any of the major bookstores. Also some knowledge at www.inliners.org

Sounds like the same way I learned it. ONly thing is, in Mississippi I didn't think 15 was too young?
