Motor go boom
Well that is it, no more stock truck.
The motor blew up on sunday and there is no need to fix. I have a small block waiting to go in.I was waiting for winter but close enough. Just waiting for the motor mounts to come in. Which should be here on monday. I'll post pics of the motor before it goes in and after.

What happened to the poor little 235?
What are you replacing it with?

BTW, since its not stock anymore, you might as well drop a 671 on top of the new SB.

Ok The first 235 that came with the truck poped a piston on the way home from buying it.
The second one I found in a bush 16 yrs ago. long story but I will tell it if you want. It lasted all summer. Died on the 10th bringing my quad home from a day at the quarry. Have not tore into it yet to see the problem. I built (not alone) a 350ci 4 bolt main 5 yrs ago. But I sold it to a friend. He was supose to put it in a 81 chev 1/2 ton. That never happened. I got it back for helping him put in floor boards for his mustang. which I would have helped do anyways. Don't really know what I got yet. 350 4 bolt main high volume oil pump double roller timing chain crane new fuel pump I was told the heads are 883's but I don't know what that means edelbrock performer intake, air breather, chrome valve covers. new cam all I know is its a highenergy. The heads were built to match. By the way I am a bodyman not a engine builder. I can put stuff together if somebody tells me what to put in I follow. the motor has yet to run in a truck.
