Removing ignition on 72

How do you remove the ingition itself on the 72's dash? Ive got everything else but it off and its starting to annoy me. Thanks.

there is a little hole on the front of the switch. put the key in and turn it to the right to the acc. position. next push something like a paper clip into the hole you will fell it depress then turn the switch counterclock-wise until it stops, you may have to do this several times until it is freely moving. Then using the key remove the switch through the front of bezel.

Use some liquid graphite to help lube the unit (Don't get it on your cloths, will stain)

Don't use WD-40 or oil based lubes, the oil just draws dirt and dust into the locks....then you have all sorts of problems.

Take out a door lock and take to a locksmith(will be keyed the same if ing. lock has not been changed). Otherwise take a screwdriver and pry off stainless cover on switch. The bezel will now screw off.(I hope) Buy new switch and lock or bust lock of of switch.
