what year van columns work
can you use any of them with the key on the dash or just certain years?

Pretty much any of them with the key in the dash. I think they quit in 1982, but not positive on that.

I did a search and someone mentioned motor home columns is this the motorhomes with the van chassis or just any early one with gm column?

you can use any van tilt 73-early82 then they switch to in the collum. i think the earlier collums have the horse shoe plug still and the later ones have a flat plug. but GM sells an adapter i heard. TxFirefighter has a motorhome tilt in his truck (i belive) but i think it would be easier to find a van tilt than a motorhome tilt.

72 - 81/early 82
There is another variable too, the early van tilts...normally the ones with the horse shoe shaped plug, will have a long shofter handle...like the stock non tilt in the truck. If you have inbstalled a smaller than stock wheel, the shifter looks kinda goofey...the later van tilts have a nice shorter shifter. |
