Mirrors

Hi all
Seeing how I had today off I hit some junk yards looking for some Mirror brackets
for my 71.
My GMC has two different types on it and I would like only one type.
Now I must confess I went to a ford only yard as well today they told me the one type of Mirror I like came off a ford van. (WHY ME)
Out of our two GM truck parts places one has gone out of bussiness and the other offered to sell one for 40$ each and they came on fords as well...
So I'm going to post some pic's of the mirrors I have and if anyone has a Idea or two let me know...
Thanks

Cethern
Oh the drivers side is the one I like.

I just bought a set of those from djracer, they're called Jr West Coast mirrors. They look cool on these old trucks. Here's the pics he posted on my thread:

But I would still need the bracket to mount the mirror on
The mirror on the pass side is one you can get in the auto parts place and it looks like junk and it doesn't work very good either.
Thanks for the input tnblazer being a truck driver I mite not of given any thought to the Truck stops I'm in and out of them and I don't stop to look around to much.

Yours are just a little different than the one I have my upper bracket is stright and yours is little bent downward...And your is second type I have seen toady the other was on a ford truck... I guess I'll hit some different junk yards... But then maybe someone on here has a good set.
Oh I want those vent visors too...lol

My options sticker lists my mirrors as jr west coast mirrors as well. Mine are painted. I was missing some hardware via the po & I posted on the board & I got what I needed. I was informed that many guys take them off SO they should be redily availible on the parts board - mabe try a post there. the second pic is my truck (sorry for the poor quality) & the other is one I found on here a long time ago.

My option list has these mirrors listed so maybe someone changed out a broken mirror with the ford one. and they went nuts on the passenger side

LOL, sorry I got the vent visors too. When my Grandfather had the truck it had some like these but they were mounted different and they were painted white, not sure what happened to 'em though. Got another set anyway! The only thing I need to do is replace the acorn nuts with some stainless ones so they don't rust.

I can't see spending that much for mirrors lol Hell I would be happy with the 67/69 three bolt mirror. I saw a stainless on for 25.00 each I can live with that.

I'm considering the Jr westcoast for my 68, not sure yet. This is the cheapest I've found online. JC Whitney.

I may go scrap yard shopping next week and see what I can find.
