Engine wont start
The other day when i started my truck in the morning to go to work, i let it warm up and it ran fine. I started onto base and the damn thing was idling at 4000 rpm at stop and at 55 mph with the stall converter i have. i had to stay on the brakes. I parked it to go run with the platoon and when i came back to it to go home, i started it and it ran high idle again. As soon as i got off base, the damn thing wouldnt stay running if i didnt keep my foot on the pedal. It finally broke down in my neighbor hood. It was backfiring through the carb and exhaust before it finally shut off. It had no power what so ever.
I got it home, I replaces wires, plugs, cap, rotor, coil, and module. still no start ?

What carb? I had an edelbrock that would stick. I would have to remove the top of the carb and clean the junk out of the bowls. I got pretty quick at it. To me it sounds like maybe your needles are sticking.

First things that come to mind- Big vacuum leak, or maybe the distributor worked loose, and the timing is off. Pull a plug & check for spark, and make sure it's getting fuel.
