Ultr-Seal Gaskets
Just purchased set of Ultra-Seal gaskets from Jeg's. Also picked up "The Right Stuff" to use in place of end gaskets. My question is what, if anything, do you use in the way of gasket spray tack, RTV, etc. to install these. I called Jeg's tech line and the girl said I didn't need to put anything on the gasket but I've never just thrown one in dry. Any proven methods? The intake is an Edelbrock Performer for a BBC. Any help is appreciated.

I have ultr-seals on mine,all i did was put RTV on the intake bolts because these go into the water jackets,other then that it works great with no add on adhesive

I've never used that brand gasket before, do they have a silicone bead on them like fel-pro?? if they do, i would put them in dry, otherwise, i use high-tack for sealer on like waterpump and oil pan gaskets.

I used themn once, put them in dry with no problems.

Dry! Good gaskets don't need sealer except in corners where they meet other gaskets and on bolt threads.
