Well, after owning mine for nearly 5 years, I am finally getting some work done. I've got my blazer at my buddy's bodyshop where I had planned to spend two saturdays a month working on it. I ended up having to take graduate classes every Saturday for the past 4 weeks, and now I plan to get back to work on the blazer. I go there next Saturday to work on it and then 3 days straight during a 1 week vacation for Thanksgiving. I'll pick up a door, inner fender, and battery tray at Goodmark and then spend the week priming and sanding. I hope to have the body painted by the end of the year. I can't wait. It's been a long wait, but it will get done. Good luck on yours.

Congrats and welcome to the Blazer family!
I've owned my '69 for coming up on 4 years and I bought my '72 this summer from a board member. I drive the '72 daily and couldn't be happier. The '69 is going up for sale as soon as I get a chance to put some things back together on it. Post some pictures when you get it! Jeremy, I wish could get done half of what you have done to yours! You need to post some progress pictures when you get a chance.

Getting ready to prep the body for paint on my 69 k5. Needs new tires...i have new rims for it. I am still killing myself over what color to paint it. I am leaning towards a midnight blue type color. I think it looks great with a white top. My girl wants it to be yellow
paint, tires, steering column, carpet and I'm good to go |

Thanks bouncy. Next blazer work day I take the Dig. Camera. As of now, the front clip is off, and one door is in primer with the bodywork done. Goodmark will do the majority of the bodywork on the other door. I've got two reproduction fenders and the tailgate. The tub has been rust free for a couple of years now. My hood needs to be stripped, but I believe it to be dent free. If I can get the whole works primed in K200 by Thanksgiving I'll be happy.

I'm still needing to put exhaust on mine. With the tuned port system I have to have an oxygen sensor, so right now I'm running open headers on it. With the new motor it has TONS of power but is way too loud to drive on the street. I hear you about not having time to get any work done. Finals are only a month away! Good luck on your project.

I have had my Blazer for almost 7 years and Im finally getting some money from a small inheritance. So right after Thanksgiving I start:
1 Old Air - I realize its winter but a 1000.00 is a pretty big chunk all at one time and I promised myself last summer that was the first thing to happen. 2 4/6 drop with new crossmembers for the new exhaust to get put up between the frame rails. 3 JET Hot coated shorty headers and all new 2 1/2 inch aluminized exhaust. 4 Get my ralley wheels powder coated and new trim rings 5 New 295/50 BFGs on the back and 235/60 BFGs on the front. 6 All new Autometer Ultra Lite Guages mounted in the dash 7 New steering wheel - Haven't decided on the style yet. 8 Change 72 front clip to 67/68 style After I get all this done Ill have to see where I stand financially to see what the next step is. I am so excited to get all this done. I will post progress pics as I get rolling. Man am I stoked !!!!!!!!!!!!! You should be able to see my grin from where you're standing.

I just started back on my project again after almost 5 years of a layover. I have had it for 10 years now. All of the body work was done but after moving it a couple of times and my ex-wife putting a couple of hate dents in it for me when she moved out, I have a couple of them to fix. She also took (1) of my dropped spindles and my rear adjustable panhard bar. Go figure @#$%^!!! Anyways stripped and painted grille brackets this weekend, hood lock, center support, GM inner fender wells, and inventoried all of parts to see what else is missing. Oh yes, she also stole brand new ppg tinted door glass and vent windows. If anyone has any door glass channels I will then buy new glass again and reglue them into the channels. I will try to post pics as I only go home on the weekends. I work out of town.

I bought mine in August and am working on it almost daily. My definition of restored is much different than the PO`s, so I am slowly getting it to my standards.
I have met some great people on here with an abundance of knowladge that are helping me along as I go. It seems the deeper I dig the more I find that needs attention, but I wouldn`t have it any other way. I never thought my kids would get so much fun out of helping me as well, they can`t wait until better weather comes along to take the top off. Bret
