do you have any pictures of the nova? I may be interested.

You said: "i would be intrested it for a c10." I'm having a little trouble understanding that sentence. Are you saying that you are interested in trading it for a c10?

Todd

not driveable then?
Or driveable with parts in the trunk?
I sent you an email, you can send pics back on it.
Mine is a daily driver, (so I would need something driveable in return).
It is a 1972 Custom 10 deluxe lwb.
350/th350
replaced;
starter
altenator
headers
carburator
rebuilt the trans
electric fans
external transmission cooler
leaks oil and the u-joints or carrier bearing is bad (haven't figured out which yet).
I can have a @$$load of pictures on monday.

Let me know how "almost finished" it is.

Nova pictures

the nova right now is not a daily driver. it still needs some parts to complete the car. the car has been redone from the ground up. the car just needs clean and repainted. it also needs a few more parts. interior and some front clip parts. there is more parts for the car not pictured like new doors, interior sheet panel, and a new dash frame.

I found pics of your car here (linked it in case anybody else is interested). It's a little more work than I am ready for right now. I can't give up my only daily driver for another project. I already have a chevelle project that I can't finish.
Here's a bump for you though.

67-72 had the same body style.
67-68 had a sloped nose hood while the 69-72 had more of a flat nose hood.
Really not too much different from that other than the grill.
Some boys on here can tell the difference between cabs though, I don't see what the differences in the cabs are though.

I never said I wasn't interested in a trade. It looks like you have done a lot of work to the Nova, but I couldn't trade even cause my wife would kill me, but we can talk about it.

some more info on the nova

true 1970 Chevy Nova ss, Over $10,000 invested in the whole car.

the car has had about every panel replaced. the car needs interior it has on one of the orgianl bucket seats. still has origanl floor shifter. the firewall has been smothed out. the doors have been gutted, would be easy to just get new doors. i have all the glass but the windshield. it has back seat. i have a new dash frame needs installed. new steering calume needs installed. new steering needs installed. i have a 73/74 front but not put on because it needs the rest of the parts to convert it to a 70 front. origanl front was rusted out from battery acid. has 2 grilles orgianl ss and non ss. i have alot of extra parts. comes with origanl ss rear panel. needs lights and wiring i have old wiring but not installed i planned on getting the kit for it. the subframe has been pulled and blasted new paint and bushins through out car. new trany and 12 bolt rearend. the car is almost bare alot needs installed. has new brakes on front the car came with disc brakes from factory. i also have the bumpers, mirrors, all the stuff like that

Engine

1972 396/402 BBC, oval ported heads, eagle steel crank and rods, forged pistions, new cam not roller, torker edelbrock intake, hooker comp headers, 750 comp carb, the engine was pro built by a profromace shop in orlando florida. the engine has had a complete rebuild from bottom up everything is new. engine has never been ran in car just on the Stand since 2002 untill a few months ago. i keep the engine turned over and primed . comes with new turbo 350 trany. the engine has over $6000.oo in just the engine. the 402 has been dyno w/ 400hp i dont remember the other numbers.

i bought a cheap avanced starter it is for a stock motor it will crank it but needs high power starter also has new electic stytem. disturbuter, wires, plugs ready to run

what i have done to the car in the last couple of weeks.

i put new doors on the car diffrent from the ones in the pictures. i installed new dash frame. i also installed new mounting areas for the rear window regulators to bolt up to.

the car needs cleaned up again no rust just some surface rust on the rearend were the paint chipped. the car has new 1/4 panels, tail light panel, doors, dash frame, and a new roof skin. most of the work that has been done to the car has been done by the last owner. he had the dyno sheet for the motor paper work for everything. i forgot it at his house when i got the car.

just go to the bottom for more pictures. i would take more but i dont have a camera anymore. there is still more small parts not pictured. the nova is rust free other then the front fenders need patch panels there 25-45$ each.
http://stevesnovasite.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9766

since the car is apart i was going to sand and sandblast everything. por15 the engine area and under the car. like the frame and rearend. the engine also needs repaint from running on the stand every other week to keep everything fresh.

thanks
Chad

Seems to me like you would have a better chance finishing up your nova and getting it running and THEN trade it for something.
If it was in "daily driver" condition, I'd trade in a second. In fact. Keep me in mind if you ever do get it finished and are still thinking of trading it. The longer it takes you to get it done, the more stuff I'll have fixed on mine.

all the car really needs is to be put back togeather and a few other parts. like a core suport 145$ tail lights around 100$ new but can be found used. patch panels for front fenders 25$ each. hardwere kit would be nice to put the front end back togeather. i have enough interior front the 73 to make it look desent on the inside of the nova. but if i got the car in daily driver condition all it will need is a paint job to be complete.lol im just really wanted a c10 truck and i figured maybe someone would be intrested in the nova. i had a guy i just talked to had a 71 swb nice with 454 he said he would have traded in a hart beat but he didnt know i wanted one so it got sold.

My 69 runs and is all there...just in a few pieces right now..I paid 4K for it and have put a few hundred in it....I'd sell it outright for that if you want it.
