I'd had stuff take up to 2 months to get across the border. Don't jump to conclusions, esspecially if he is offering a refund to correct the problem. If you feel the need, contact Josh, don't be posioning the well on the guy here when the Admin can take care of the situation without any public humiliation.

I hope you sent him a Postal Money Order because they will back you. Start a trace on it. They will get involved real quick because they consider it mail fraud. I hope Josh sees this.

When you find it take to the post office and start the trace. I paid $1.75 and it took 2 weeks to come back with his signature on it. He said he never got it but that was proof he cashed it and lied. They will give you the forms for the Postal inspector and they will threaten to withold his mail. He'll learn mail fraud is not a game!

From my experience shipments both to and from the US usually take about two weeks but can take as long as 6 weeks. I have some stuff on it's way up now and it's been over two weeks. I'm not worried. You should be able get a straight answer from your seller about it all though. I won't ship anything to the US without a clear understanding of how long it could take and then I ship it expedited mail that has on line tracking and insurance against non delivery.

Here my short but sweet "take" on this: Ok...lets says the US/Canadian mail connection and actual delivery are slow... Ok to make up for that you as the seller need to be a communicator...Changing your screen name and not advising your purchasing party is just wrong! The buyer sent his money in good faith, and for that is entitled to the handling of the "entire" matter from start to finish in a good and prudent fashion. There is no excuse for going incommunicado, that is nothing more than !!!! Either this seller needs to produce the goods or refund the toad skins.....and I mean immediately as he has had plenty of time IMHO. And first and formost you as the seller need to send an email that says you are doing something to resolve this caper of yours. If not...bring on GUeeeeDough.

Well John when stuff takes more than about two weeks getting into the US it's usually US customs and the US Postal Service slowing it down. Stuff that gets delayed coming this way it's Canada Customs and Canada Post. You make it sound like it's a Canadian thing. It's a border thing. My wife ships stuff all over the world and most of it gets there alot faster than she can ship to the states. The US and Canada do an enormous amount of trading and there is a border that has customs on both sides. Delays are a function of the amount of trade our countries do. If you're buying or selling across the border it takes longer. So what it's fact of life. Canadians do business all over the world and we accept it. If anybody happens to get stiffed by one of my fellow Canadians I appolgise on their behalf but please don't hold it against ALL of us. I sure don't hold it against all Americans for the number of times I have been shafted on stuff coming this way. Give the Canada thing a break please.

I am not trying to be funny. My thought for the shipping problem to the U.S. from Can. is maybe drug related.I know the U.S. buys a lot of hydroponics and presception drugs from Can.(We don't say Canadians are drug dealers and Americans druggies).I don't know if they screen everything shipped to the States or not but would at least explain shipping delays.I know this doesn't help matters here.Neither does blaming Canadians or Americans.Blue4x4 I really hope things work out for you.

Canada Post. Heh. I bought a book off e-bay from someplace in Canada, paid for 2 day delivery. Took over a week to finally get delivered to Minnesota. Thank goodness I had a tracking number. The shipper shipped it promptly, but Canada Post status would always just say "recv'd" or some B.S. like that. I thought I was getting ripped off and was wondering if "Canada Post" was even legite.
Another time I bought a printer from Montreal. Came by truck 3 days later. Go figure. Canada Post must be staffed and run by some goverment social program filling quotas with the most least qualified persons from the streets to do the job, IMHO. Heh.

I've had good experiences with purchases from quite a few members ranging from the most recent thing (an AC controller) to the most expensive thing a plasma cutter. Everything got here within two weeks of it being shipped. The only thing I sent to the states was via FedEx and was a mini milling machine, I don't think it took two weeks and if I remember correctly only took one. A month for shipping is pretty unreal.
All I can say is that I hope board members won't get put off of Canadian sales because of one slacker. Ron
