Dash bezel question - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Any of you in the know that can help me out? I want to but a 77 dash bezel from cochino12. Will my 79 dash pad accept the 77 bezel or are they different sizes? Thanks.

It'll fit just fine. I do know the bezels changed slightly thruought the years, but as far as fitting the dash pad...it'll work. Might want to get the matching lower column cover from him just to be safe.

FWIW - I have a 81+ dashpad and am using my '73 bezel.

It will work but the 77 bezel will protrude out about 3/8" of an inch. the 79-80 bezels were unique(no lip) because the 79-80 dash pad does not have the same amount of overhang over top of the bezel as the 78-down pads. .

As long as the stock screws will snug it up. My original bezel is in pretty sad shape and I like the look of the woodgrain dash with the shiny gauge pods. Thanks.
