got the tunnel ram all together!!!!
i got my tunnel ram and the holleys all bolted up and ready to go in on monday, i just got the hilborn scoop and painted it to mach the new covers too, i cant wait to see it on the truck, its gonna be sick!!!

i have never seen anyone run the carb spacers on a tunnel ram before. what is the theory behind it?

i just relixed theres no vacume port for my brake booster/tranny line what do i do? actually theres no vacime ports whatsoever only on the carbs in the metering block on the primary sides. does anybody have a solution?
thanks -kyle the carb spacers.... i read a dyno test in some magizine (super chevy) wherethey were testing tunnel rams with and w/o spacers and this made the most power and torque for some reason this was awile ago but i belive it was a 2'' like i got

no i might sell the intake the rpm airgap the valve covers im keeping cause its what came stock on my LT-1 im actually gonna see which i like better. aas far as rpms its seen 7000rpm a few time in its life but thats what its built for takin a beating im really excited to get this thing on and get it painted up

Kyle,,, It's gona be Killer Dude...
And yes, The Spacers will give better bottom end and with that Small Chamber on the Tunnel Ram they will help the Vacuum situation.. The Hilborn Scoop just Tops it off.. I had to Drill a hole for Vacuum accessories just under the carb base on the rear of the Manifold on one of my Tunnel Rams. Tap it for the Vacuum adaptor. |

Carb spacers might cause a huge dead spot in the throttle response - when you jump on it. but try it first and see what happens. what size are the carbs? CFM?? - lets us know how it performs??? im interested to see if you like it compared to the AirGap - is the truck primarily street driven?
as far as the no vacuum ports on the intake...you can drill a hole in one of the rear intake tunnels, or in the bottom of the upper Plenumn - like on the bottom side of the intake top where the tws carbs are mounted then tap it with a pipe tap and put a fitting in it. or find a big vacuum port on one of the carbs..near the base as low as possible

8,000rpm here we come....Unfortunately your lowend is gonna suffer greatly but if you have built and motor that can take the High RPMs (heads that FLOW!) then you will make killer power.
