Rear bags?
I joined what I think was a old post on the suspension forum. Not many people are answering up do to the fact someone else started the post over a month ago. I am in a dilemna at this time. As you all know I recently got my 67 stepside on the road. Well I am at the point that I need rear air bags at the least. My brother who started working on the truck about eight years ago set it up for bags with a F**d nine inch rear end. It has the buckets for bags already there. It bottoms out enough with shocks to knock out your fillings in your teeth. I need the bags fittings, air lines and a tank I think at the least. With the fact I know nothing about any of this, I would like some input about prices, how hard it is to install, and with the fact I am getting burned out working on the truck what a shop or individual might charge for the installation. Any help or input from you great people would be appreciated. Sorry for the spellings but you all know it is New Years and I am celebrating. Thanks in advance. Kerry the Wootdog.

i have done some reading on this, and people say that you dont need buckets in the back for bags, they bolt up where the stock spring is. as far as lines and compressor and tanks, that is only if you want to adjust it while driving down the road. if you just want to put them in for now and worry about that stuff later, you can get a hose with a fitting for the bag and a fitting for a schrader valve (like a valve stem) you can fill it up at home with your air compressor where you like it and you are done. as far as cost, there is a guy by my house that has em for 75 bucks each, but on line they are 80-85 plus shipping.

if you can get the hoses made, it should be fairly easy, unless those spring bolts want to fight

Sounds like you need a c-notch to me? I think that would solve your problems. Maybe with Air Lift bags.

Update signature.
I guess I should. I have had the 67 for a year and a half. I just don't want to take away from my favorite the 68 shortwide. Kerry

This rear end is as low as it goes without the C Notch
It is already banging the rear end when you go down the road. I do have a C Notch in the garage but would rather not cut the frame if at all possible. Kerry
