Rear Axle
to convert the rear axle over to five lugs can't i replace the axles over by using an 85 axles on my 64 c/10

No, the earlier rearends are narrower than the later ones are and the 85 would be a 10 bolt, while your 64 should be a 12 bolt.
Easiest is to get the special 5 lug axles for your rearend. Early Classic Enterprises sells them. You could also use a whole 71 or 72 rearend in your truck, which were 5 lug originally and coil spring too. They are slightly wider, but once under the truck, you can't really tell.
