Need Some Advice
I pulled the sway bar off of my parts truck and was planning on putting it on my restore. I realized that the fame I took it off of had rivets drilled out of it in the front crossmember so the sway bar brakets could bolt up. Should I do the same thing on my restore frame or not add the sway bar? What difference will I notice with the sway bar?

I also have some motor mounts on my parts truck that do not look like they are standard. They bolt to the frame but not the crossmember. I would think they would bolt to both.

There's a good article in the FAQ section all about swaybars and swaybar installation. Lots of pictures.
The engine mounts should bolt to the truck with 3 bolts each. To the frame with 2 bolts and the crossmember with 1 bolt each.

Thanks for the reply. The mounts are only bolted to the frame and not the crossmember. I will try and get some pics. They may be from another year. Thought they should have the two bolts in the frame and one in the crossmember.

There's 2 sets of holes in the frame and crossmember. See if they fit the other set.

To answer your other question, (swaybar) go ahead and pull those rivets out of your frame. Just be sure to put a bolt back in if you don't install your swaybar brackets right away.
