changing tbi truck to carb question

i hate tbi and im changing it to carb can yall give me some intake and carb ideas. its a 305 comp. rebuilt with flat tops got heads redone and headers and free flowing exaust???

If I'm not mistaken Edlebrock makes a manifold that will work with the TBI heads. There's also an adapter you can buy to put a carb on your TBI intake. For a 305 I wouldn't go larger than a 600cfm carb...I like the Carter AFB's, but you'll get a lot of differing opinions on carb choice.

Almost forgot...you'll also need a fuel pressure regulator if you plan to retain the stock electric fuel pump.

This was done to my motor by the previous owner. Its got a mechanical fuel pump on there and an RV cam too. Other than that its just a Edelbrock intake for TBI heads. Very very sad TBI heads.

Hey, I'll trade you my intake and Q-jet for the TBI lol. I'm sick of my carb like your sick of the TBI.

I'd get a Q-jet personally, they are good on gas and you can still get alot of power out of them.

i have never had good luck with a Q-jet. im thinking of going with a holley street avenger and some type of holley 650 carb
