New guy with question?
hello gang, since iam a newbee, thought i'd let y'all know i have a good old 72 GMC,that i have owned for 18 years. recently , i started on new paint for "Big Blue".
my question is this, How do you remove primer paint or enamel from the rubber windshield gasket? any help would be appreciated. |

I'd buy a new rubber seal. Unless your's has already been replaced.

Hey , thanks there 71, but i just put in a new gasket and windshield last winter.

Ok laquer thinner then. maybe wd-40

Laquer thinner or mineral spirits, you might have to use some steel wool, and if you are real careful, a razor blade after you soften it up with the thinner.
