Question about out of state titles?
If for example a CA truck has $800 back registration and is sold and registerd out of state with a pink slip, what happens to the back registration? If a CA vehicle with back registration is sold in CA, the buyer assumes the responsibility of the back registration according to DMV. Does anyone know what happens to back registration if registered in a different state?

From my knowledge DMV's from different states do not talk to each other, so if you have a title they probably wont know, but it could also follow the vin too....so the new person who registers it may be stuck with the bill....
